Karlsruhe 300. Stadtgeburtstag
The Pavilion Program
Every day, from morning to night, anniversary events will be going on right here at the pavilion. With 400 event highlights, the pavilion program is as diverse and colorful as the lifestyle and people of this Baden metropolis. Music, cabaret, theater, open stage performances, and discussions on economy, politics, law, and science join open-air concerts, parties, sports, art, and culture in inspiring guests to get involved and creating unforgettable moments that will give you goose bumps. Many institutions will also put on guest performances at the pavilion, like the „Zeltival“ by the Cultural Center Tollhaus
In the Morning Sun
Days at the pavilion begin with lots of fresh air and a bit of morning exercise. The program includes relaxation sports, fitness classes to get you energized, and the KA-Lauftreff (running group). After a short breakfast, the next highlight on the agenda is the “Explorer’s Camp”. Here, children and young adults can learn from and with each other through things like youth lectures, building giant puppets, and other hands-on, nature-themed activities.
Afternoon – Try, Touch, Trade
In the afternoon, the pavilion transforms into a “Workshop City” with repair cafés, swap meets, workshops, and intercultural events. Here, everyone can put their skills and interests to use and discover new things
The evening program follows a different theme every day of the week. On Mondays, the 27 city districts have a chance to present themselves and challenge each other to “District Duels”. On Tuesdays, the pavilion welcomes the science festival EFFEKTE as its guest. Wednesdays feature “City Discussions”, which are interactive panel discussions that address important social issues. Thursday is reserved for Karlsruhe’s theatrical groups during “Raise the Curtain!”. Afterwards, movie fans can indulge in their favorite past time during “Roll Film!”. The Friday night format “PartyNight” is exactly what you’d imagine, with exciting music and cabaret performances by regional artists.
As with any anniversary celebration, colleagues, friends, and relatives have also been invited to attend the Festival Summer. Therefore, communities from the surrounding area come bearing gifts on various Saturdays throughout the summer and present themselves at “Totally Regional”. “Festival Fever” spreads like wildfire on Saturday nights with amazing events like the State Jazz Festival Baden-Württemberg, das FEST or the State Gymnaestrada Baden-Württemberg.
